Membership, volunteering and WEA

The second day of the WEA's annual Education & Strategy conference covered a number of issues: the impact of WEA provision in communities across the country, how our partner - the Coop - is developing its membership and how we can learn from the success of the Community Learning Champions initiative and integrate it into ongoing volunteering in the WEA. I'd recommend the Coop's 'Join our Revolution' website. The videos on the Community Learning Champions site here is really worth visiting.

The conference was really enjoyable. At the end everyone said one thing they will do from what came out of the event and one thing the WEA should do. I look forward to hearing how these go - and to seeing if the WEA can act on some of these ideas.
